About Us

Our History

Pickens Savings and Loan, originally known as Pickens Building and Loan, was established by charter on May 5, 1920. Pickens Building and Loan first opened its doors in the old SCN Bank Building on Main Street in Pickens. Led by well-known business leaders in the community, the bank's original goal was to help local families build their own future through home ownership.

Ninety plus years and a name change later, Pickens Savings and Loan is now located at 205 East Cedar Rock Street in Pickens. Our goal today is to serve the community not only by helping families with home loans, but also by helping our local community with all of its banking needs.

Pickens Savings and Loan is proud of our heritage and of being a locally owned, independent community bank. We understand our community, and we make our decisions locally with local interests in mind. Our reputation is built on trust and sound business practices. As a full service financial institution, we promise to provide quality banking products with outstanding customer service. Come by today and see what makes Pickens Savings and Loan unique.
